Exam Prep Boot Camps

Our courses are based on A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 5th Edition. In addition, our course materials and classes reflect the most current versions of the exams, including the 12 January 2016 change to the PMP exam.

While many candidates are tempted to take their test on the day after class, PPM actually recommends scheduling your exam a few days after class but within four to six weeks. Our boot camps are very intense and our number one goal is to ensure you pass on your first attempt. Giving yourself a day or two to digest the material and the customized feedback you receive from your instructor is critical to success.

PPM Prep Camps are offered multiple times per month in major metropolitan locations within the US. PPM also offers most classes in Live Online formats - offering our students the flexibility and cost-effective means for attending the class of their choice. Please see our Course Schedule page. In addition, PPM is available to deliver courses via on-site courses world-wide.

No, hotel lodging is optional. Some students like to "sequester" themselves away during the class and thus choose to stay at the hotel.

Candidates must take their exams at a Prometric Testing Center. There are multiple Prometric testing locations around the world. The candidate is able to schedule their exam at a convenient time and location.

Yes, we do offer the customized PMP Prep Camp solutions for companies, offering added convenience and significant savings. The majority of PPM's business is actually custom on-site classes. PPM will work with your point-of-contact to identify the most appropriate date for the class and also include any special area of focus or customization. PPM requires a minimum of only five participants to schedule an onsite program. Please see our on-site course page for additional information.

We won't lie to you or mislead you. The exams are very difficult and there is no magic potion that will guarantee you pass the exam. However, if you put in the work and effort, we do guarantee that the PPM Prep Camps will give you all of the information that you need to successfully complete the exam. We have a long history of helping professionals achieve their credentials as efficiently as possible. We're so certain, we guarantee it! If you comply with the class requirements and still do not pass the exam, PPM will refund you your re-examination fees and you will be eligible to participate in another class at no cost. Please see the details of our course guarantee.

No. The credentialing exam fees must be paid separately directly to the Project Management Institute.

Many ways: Energy, enthusiasm, fun, and most importantly a proven method of knowledge transfer. PPM cares about their customers and it shows. We provide assistance with the application process, convenient locations, and excellent training facilities and accommodations. Your satisfaction and comfort is our primary concern. And we will be with you through the entire process - we begin working with you immediately upon registering for a course and our job is not complete until you have successfully completed the exam. Check out our Testimonials page and our Facebook page to see what people are saying about us!

No pre-work is required for any of PPM’s courses. However, for those candidates participating in our PMP/CAPM boot camps we strongly suggest that you complete our pre-course learning module to ensure you have a solid foundation for the class.

As part of PPM's commitment to training excellence, PPM does administer a pre-test and post-test to confirm that learning transfer has occurred.

PPM Prep Camps typically run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 45-minute lunch break although the specific time may vary for individual courses.

Generally speaking, you will receive all materials on the first day of class. It is important to us that you receive the maximum benefit of the class and the materials are designed for an instructor-led environment.

PPM instructors bring together the best of both worlds. Our instructors are seasoned and accomplished project management professionals that hold current PMI credentials. In addition, our instructors are adult learning professionals who create an incredibly engaging learning experience! Investing in a training program is a big investment - always check your instructor's credentials. PMI Credentials can be verified on the PMI Credential Registry.

PMI does not release the passing score for any of their certification and credentialing exams. PPM suggests students score at least an 80% on most available practice exams to indicate readiness.

The Project Management Professional (PMP)® Credential

Yes, all of our course materials and study products are based on the most recent version of the exam and The PMBOK® Guide, 5th Edition. This includes updates to encompass the newest version of the PMP exam (12 January 2016).

Yes, not only does the 4-day PMP/CAPM Exam Prep Camp provide 36 education hours, students are also eligible to receive access to our free on-line 35-hour pre-course module that provides an exceptional foundation for the class and allows the candidate to submit their application prior to class.

The PMP credential is intended for experienced project managers who meet the Project Management Institute (PMI)® qualifications. If you are new to project management, we recommend starting with the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® exam. Once you meet the experience requirements, you will be able to seek your PMP.

Yes. In order to maintain your PMP credential, you will need to obtain 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) within every three year credential cycle. One PDU is the equivalent of one hour of education. Failure to meet the continuing education requirements will result in suspension of your credential.

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®

Although the CAPM® is an entry-level project management certification, the exam is still very challenging and requires the candidate to have solid knowledge of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 5th Edition. At PPM, we do not believe that can be accomplished in a class less than 35 hours in length. Participating in the PPM PMP/CAPM Exam Prep Boot Camps gives candidates for both the PMP and the CAPM exams a solid foundation in all of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 5th Edition principles.

At this time we offer the CAPM preparation in conjunction with the PMP exam prep boot camp, as the same material is required for both exams.

No. The CAPM certification is valid for a period of five years. At the end of the five years, the options are to either re-test or pursue the PMP credential.
